Welcome to Devlog 9!
Week 9
Hello Everyone! Welcome to this week's Devlog. For this weeks theme we got Single Scene Mayhem!
THEME – Single Scene Mayhem
IDEA
For this week's theme we decided we wanted to make a game similar to Wario Ware. This was perfect as each level was associated to a goal. Within this game we wanted the idea that many minigames would have a small goal that must be achieved in order to not lose a life. Whether that was finishing something before the timer or correctly doing what the goal was. For every level completed the player's score would increase. To keep the mayhem going farther we decided to make the entire game in first person. That in itself was challenging as it was hard to come up with ideas for many minigames for the player to play in first person but overall it was a success.
SCENES
Each level was designed with the intent of being in first person. There are a total of 13 different minigames and each have there own goal associated to them. For this Devlog I don't want to spoil all the levels so I will only go through a select few.
SNIPE THE ENEMY
In this minigame the player is given a Remington rifle and must aim down their sites in order to find the enemy within the area. If found and killed the player then moves on to the next.

DODGE THE BULLETS
In this level you must dodge the incoming bullets that approach you. Waves of bullets will appear and there are openings for that the player must line themselves with to clear the wave.

RED MEANS STOP
This one is a copy of the park game, Red Light Green Light. When the light turns green the player is free to walk towards the target. If the player gets caught moving on a red light they lose a life.

Show Down
This is your ordinary gunfight from the classic western movies. When the player hears the bell ring using their quick timing skills they must fire their gun first in order to seek victory.

GENERAL
Overall the game has many challenges for the player. Completing many challenges will increase the speed of the game causing timers to be shorter and actions to be faster.
ENDING
That is all we had for this week's Devlog. I hope to see you guys next time! All photos from this Devlog post will be updated in the gallery so be sure to check it out and have a good day and don't let the mayhem take over!
